Well that was all a bit breezy.
It’s going to be a long winter now that the clocks are back and the storm season has started in earnest , with Boelo causing some damage to the front of the shop. I lost an awning , ripped straight off the wall in the early hours of Sunday morning. Fortunately a pal found it early Sunday, and we were able to save it and have it put back in place on Monday morning thanks to some of the younger retailers around The Cross rallying round to help their old da.
So it seems like a very sensible time for me to mention our fabulous winter coats from DUNO.
They’re all 100% guaranteed waterproof, with varying degrees of thermal insulation. They’re in a variety of colours and styles, from classic quilted raincoats to parka style triple protection storm coats for going to the football or rugby . I can’t praise this range highly enough, I let very satisfied purchasers do that, but suffice to say they are an essential investment for the season ( and years ) ahead.
It’s also worth a serious look at our ever popular fur lined winter boots from LACUZZO.
Surprisingly lightweight, but warm as toast and with a superb sole unit that will keep the cold and rain at bay, they keep your feet dry, warm and very happy on the coldest wettest days.
As always , we have a stunning collection of knitwear in all the usual luxury fabrics like Cashmere, Alpaca and Merino Wool in various gauges from ultra fine to 6 ply Merino from CIRCOLO. Some of the colours this season are sensational, with rusts, browns, teals and greys sitting alongside the 50 shades of navy our guys love so much.
( nb ; Secretary of State Wes Streeting advised us to stock up on tinned goods and knitwear to prepare for the impending doom of a cyber shutdown !!!!! Seriously !!! He clearly knows what’s important.)
Hats, scarves, gloves and all other protection devices are also available in some brilliant colours. There’s a hat , scarf and gloves set in a sort of Donegal tweed look merino wool from GRAN SASSO that is flying off the shelves with the ‘C’ word in mind.
So we have the stuff to keep out the rain and the wind, but keeps you looking awesome at the same time, so make sure you’re ready for the next storm heading our way, and if you do happen to find a black awning in your garden when it hits, give me a call.
Keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook pages ( paulsmithmenswear) for updates on new arrivals and some great pics of awesome things instore now.
Stay dry and safe
